Taking care of us

Created by Alice 9 years ago
I remember when I was much younger and I was ill with the flu or something. Mum was giving some calpol to me just before I went to sleep, and I was on the top bunk of the bunk bed Emily and I shared. Just as I was about to take the spoonful of calpol mum fell away. I didn't know what had happened. She had fainted because she was ill herself, but was still making sure I got my calpol before bed. And that's how mum always was. She put us first all the time. And even when I was doing my masters and mum was doing her foundation degree, mum still came to watch me play rugby every weekend and drove me to Feltham and back every week. Always thinking of us and what we needed. Always worrying about us. And that's why she was the best mum in the whole world. And life will never be the same without her.
